wanted to start up a blog site connected with Italy and all things Italian. Existing in the competative blogosphere, the site had to be visually attractive and easy to use, and it was felt to be important that it should project an 'Italian flavour' in its appearance.Disegno was able to complete this job very quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively. By installing free blogging software called WordPress, the website was easily made into a blog. WordPress's admin section (the areas used by Italia Bella's webmaster to add/edit posts and undertake all other blogging-related tasks, is very easy and intuitive to use.
To achieve the 'Italian flavour', a free, pre-made theme featuring the colours of the Italian 'tricolore' national flag was downloaded from the WordPress Themes website, and modified to the client's taste, with new images being added and minor changes to spacing and layout being made.
Due to the small amount of work involved to both install the WordPress software and to amend its appearance, and the fact that both WordPress itself and the new theme were free, this work was completed extremely quickly and at an absolute minimum of cost.

We'd never blogged before and didn't know too much about it all. Also, we wanted our blog up and running quickly, and (if possible) cheaply.
Disegno was extremely helpful, not only in actually setting the site up, but also explaining the pros and cons of different options when setting up a blog (for example, although it's more expensive to have your own domain for your blog, it looks more professional than getting a free one such as those provided by the WordPress website). Disegno explained all this in jargon-free language that we understood!
The site was set up within 24 hours of us providing Disegno with the website details and finalising its design and appearance with them, and at a very low cost.
I would recommend Disegno to anyone, especially in the Todmorden area, who wants a website done quickly, by a knowledgeable and honest developer, and at a good price.
Chez Collinge French Homes
had a website that had already been designed by another developer, but which had temporarily been offline for a few months.Disegno was asked to resurrect the site, placing it back online and using the code from the previous developer to recreate the website's online database, in which was held details of the French properties sold by the site.
In addition, some missing areas - such as a 'quick search' facility - were recreated, the 'contact us' page was completely re-coded, and other functionality, such as Google Analytics, was added.

We initially approached Matthew at Disegno Web Design to have a look at our 'Chez Collinge' website that had been temporarily offline due to the economic climate. We decided that it was time to get the site back up and running, and we contacted Disegno specifically for the following reasons:
- They are a local company (and even better, based specifically in our town of Todmorden). We wanted to be able to discuss our needs in person and to deal with someone who was easily contactable and could understand our requirements.
- We also needed someone who we could trust to do the job in the way we wanted, and who could understand the complicated world of websites, etc., and explain it to us in layman's terms.
Disegno has done an excellent job on our site; we are novices in the world of the internet but we have learned a lot from working with them. They were always available when requested: Matthew came to meet us and discuss our needs and gave regular updates explaining what stage we were at, giving lots of advice to us when we asked.
The Chez Collinge website is now in use and we are very pleased with it. Disegno is always there to help should we have a problem (often at no extra charge, dependant on the scale of the particular issue). They always reply to eMails and answer the telephone promptly when we ring.
The price charged was very good, and we look forward to working with Matthew again. We highly recommend Disegno.
